the secret life of ninjas
SO...today has been a day...and it's only past noon! I slept in. It wasn't sunny this morning, so I kept waking up and looking around me and thinking, "It's not bright enough to even be 6am yet! I must be having the longest, most restless night of sleep yet!". Ahh...but I was tricked by the weather. Anywho--I realized at 0830 that it was indeed morning, because Yuki was outside my door whining (as usual)...so I let him in and we snuggled down for a nap. It wasn't too bad. I can't believe I let a dog sleep on my bed with me. *is disgusted*
Nailz's computer is finally and actually dead now I think. It won't work. We tried all last night, and I tried all this morning...and no luck at all. So I hooked up my computer (Foe of Evil, which ironically (or perhaps cleverly) has the acronymn FOE) and all is well...sort of, except that everything is not handy-dandily bookmarked on this computer. *sighs*
I got two resumes out yesterday, but not in the way I was hoping. First, I had to go to Kinko's to get them printed out along with the cover letters since my printer is out of ink (see May 3rd's blog) (speaking of, the ink came last night via FedEx, but too late for my resumes). I was going to print it off of my disk and then have it copied onto this really nice resume paper I have, but the paper that Kinko's has in their laserjet printer was so nice, thick and glossy, that I said screw the resume paper and bought some matching 9x11 envelopes to put them in. I had gotten all spiffed up to hand them in to the office accepting the resumes, but when I went downtown, I (for the life of me) could not find the damn building (which reminds me that I had a dream last night about finding the building) and ended up having to mail the damn things. How sad....I better get one of those damn jobs...I spent a lot of time and money on those resumes. I think I'll have to find a more economical way of producing those...Maybe now that I have ink for my printer, eh?
Anywho...I called Nailz. She has a headache that makes it feel like one side of her face is going to slide off her skull. I feel her pain, but thankfully I have prescription strength painkillers. I think she should come home sick after lunch. Yeah....Um...what else? Oh! All the items I put up on E-Bay actually sold, and some of them even had more than one bid! *is shocked* I got the most out of the Gary Allan (country) CD I put up. I got $3.26 plus shipping and handling. Yay! So...all that said, I should probably get out to the post office and mail the stuff that is paid for. I want to be a good seller, now don't I?
Ciao!
