Anyone can play guitar.

So. Here I sit. I'm thinking I should blog, since it's been a while. I have a dream that I'm going to post on Nailz's dreamblog, but otherwise there is not much to post that I feel like re-hashing, since the only people who really read this blog already know about my adventures with the Smith clan. Oh, what the heck.

So I went to Dave's graduation. It was overall a good time, though sometimes a bit uncomfortable as me and Josh were the only ones there who weren't related to Dave either by blood or marriage. I wanted to sleep with his brother, but thought that might make for some wacky family interactions so I didn't. Especially because his brother was sleeping in a sectioned off part of the basement not more than 50 feet from Dave's room. Hm...Yeah. That could have been...awkward... On the upside, Dave and I can now talk normally to each other without very much awkwardness, and MomFish was treating me like one of her own. That was another bonus. So, yeah, overall good weekend.

I also got to visit Doom on Friday and Monday nights. It was good to just hang out for a little bit. Hopefully, the next time I go home, I'll get a little more time to hang out and have a little more money to go out and go to the movies or out to eat.

Today has been an interesting day. I have done what I was supposed to in order to sort out the whole unemployment benefits saga. Hopefully, they will get their heads out of their asses and finally pay me the benefits I'm entitled to, meager though they may be. I also called the institutions that hold my student loans and got deferments for 3 months. Some paperwork is on its way to finalize the deferments, but the payments are stopped anyway. Phew! It's amazing how much of my income goes to student loans. That's why someday I'm going to win the lottery. *is delusional* Then, I tried to sort out my medical insurance (being assholes as usual), only to find out that I have benefits, but they are on the sucky side. I guess some is better than none. I just am going to try not to need them.

I took my car to the self-service car wash today, and only spent $3 to get my car cleaner than the automatic $12 ones. My car is once again all shiny and new looking, though I did find some spots that will need to be refinished before the winter onslaught of salt in order to prevent rusting. *sighs*

Yup. So that's really it. Nailz has completed her skirt for Lilly's. It looks really good. We've been just sort of hanging out today. She is taking a nap and that seems like a really good idea right now, considering I've completed most of my to-do list already. The rest can wait until tonight or tomorrow. I've done the urgent stuff already. I suppose I could work on my resume for a while and then think about what to have for dinner.

Hope this entry didn't bore you all to tears. Have a good day!
