It's Saturday night, I guess that makes it alright...
So here, I sit on a Saturday night. All alone with nothing to do. Well, that's not necessarily true. There are lots of things I
could do, but I don't really feel like doing them...So I guess I can't complain.
Last week Nailz and I were bored (a natural state, considering we're both unemployed). We were sitting around and we had just checked out
Odd Todd's site (also linked on the side) for like the hundredth time that week. And we started joking about how we should take this picture of us sitting on the couch, watching TV, drinking coffee and eating fudge shoppe cookies and pringles and then send it in to him. It was all a joke really, until we went to the grocery store and lo and behold fudge shoppe cookies and pringles were on sale. We took it as a sign and bought our goodies for the picture. I sent it in, and Todd said he'd post it. *does rawk star leap* So, a distinguished guest may be coming by to check out this blog. (Hi Todd!) I am kind of worried that it won't be entertaining enough for him to link to. Seeing as I mainly just bitch about the pets and ... *looks around, searching mind* Yup. That's pretty much it.
Anywho...I finished watching the first disc of the second season of
Coupling on DVD, thanks to Anne. *bows lowly* I wish I hadn't been such a dumbnut and sent the case with disc 2 back to her (I mistook the first season case to be season 2 and well...).
For entertainment today, I went on a 27 mile biking adventure with MP. We went with Big Chris, Jeremy and some guy who she works with. We took a trail that is mysteriously hidden, yet goes right around downtown and the surrounding parks and lakes. It was great fun, until the boys insisted we go one way when we knew we should've gone the other. It wouldn't've (since I'm an English major I can do that) mattered so much if 1)we didn't bike up 3 large hills and 2) MP hadn't had a wedding to go home and get ready for. Overall, though, it did use up 3 of my daytime hours that would have gone to napping anyway...
For entertainment tonight, I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, as well as vacuumed the whole apartment, took out the trashes and recycling. I feel better, yet, now I have no idea what I'll have to do for the rest of the weekend. Perhaps I'll just call and torture my parents a few times, so they don't forget they have a youngest daughter.
Wow. Another long, and most likely boring, post. The need to write probably stems mainly from having my loyal readers gone on vacation for another week or so, and I would like to make them suffer for leaving me behind when they get back. ;)
On a sidenote. Remember that duffel bag/suitcase I had to throw away because it had too much cat pee on it to keep? Well, there is this creepy older guy who lives in the next building over and he collects all kinds of crap. Nailz and I call him the Scrapman, or Meteorite Boy (whole 'nother story for another day). I saw him a couple days ago digging it out of the dumpster. I can't imagine how bad it smells now that it's been sitting in a dumpster in the sun for a couple of days. Ick.
