*shakes fist*
I am on the phone with Alienware techsupport. I can barely understand her for the accent. It sounds like a combination of French and Spanish. And now I'm downloading something that may "render my motherboard useless". Well, I guess we'll all know soon. *crosses fingers*
UPDATE 1 (11:58pm):
So now I am on hold. I haven't had to reinstall the BIOS driver on my computer yet, so I still don't know if techsupport is going to help me accidentally ruin my motherboard. They are transferring me to someone else. I think it's because the shift is changing, or the lady with the too-thick accent is getting fired. I would feel bad if she got fired, but she didn't have a good phone voice. She spoke really softly, which made it hard to hear her in the first place and then the accent just made it impossible to follow what she was saying. And I'm usually pretty good with accents. Just...I don't know. It's getting late and my contacts are drying out and the world is getting fuzzier by degrees.
UPDATE 2 (12:04am):
*kill kill kill* They think it's a problem with the monitor. Fuckers. I know what the problem is, I just don't know how to fix it!!!!! *kill kill kill*
UPDATE 3 (2:09am 6/17/04):
Finally. I just got off the phone with techsupport. I am exhausted. There was a simple solution, so now I can do it myself. Of course, we had to try every other solution first. In the end, I had to open up the CPU, unplug and take out the video card, then replug it in. Seems the computer just had to forget that it didn't like the video card. I am exhausted. Oh wait, I already said that. Think I will go to sleep now. 'Night. *passes out*
