//dream//
Me and my family are at this house for a vacation or something, but it's more like a boarding house. There is this huge bird that is nesting nearby in one of the pines. He is killing other, smaller birds to build his nest. I remember thinking this was unfair. The dream goes on, I have an innocent encounter with my first, Wade. The large bird turns into half bird/half man--like something you would see out of HeMan. He has gorgeous blue feathers and dark eyes. He starts talking to me and convinces me that he has healing powers in his hands. I don't care if he really does or not, but I let him look at my left leg (as in my dream it had two large swollen bumps). He massages it and does his best to heal it. One bump he says only a doctor can take care of.

Next thing, I run out of cigarettes and have to go into town (which I guess was a few miles away). I get in the car with the birdman (who had a name, but I can't remember it) and we start speeding down the highway. All of a sudden, I know we are being chased by someone who wants to kill the birdman. I ask if he can take flight from an open car window and he says he can, so I roll down the window and out he goes. I know that the birdman is immortal, like a god or ancient deity. But I feel like I have to protect him anyway. I get to a hotel where (I guess) me and the birdman are meeting, only the insane old man who wants to kill the birdman is already there, trying to find out our room numbers, and has a large knife. I flee, running around this maze of a hotel (the interior was similar to The Shining) trying to think of a way to get any kind of weapon. I find this storage closet where there are two ladies getting pots and pans (??) to cook in there room. I find in the box a long, kind of dull bread knife and a shorter dull knife. I grab those and start to leave when all of a sudden the birdman is by my side (in the corner) and the crazy man is there. I jump in front of the birdman and try to fend off the crazy man's attacks, but he is holding the knife weird and it is hard to block with just a bread knife, plus his blade is razor sharp; I could tell from when it would barely touch me and cut me deeply. I know this is a losing battle and that the birdman can fend for himself (seeing as he's a god/superhero by this point in the dream), but I just keep trying to defend him. I see an opening and run, the crazy man forgets about the birdman and follows me. Suddenly, I'm in a college bookstore in the middle of this ghetto in a city that looks like the real city in The Matrix. The bookstore is grimy and gray and so is the merchandise. The two men working there are talking sports. I try to tell them that I'm being chased by a mad man who wants to kill me, but they just try selling me a hat to a college that I never heard of. The mad man finds me and continues to mince my skin into shreds. By this time, I am dripping blood all over. The men at the bookstore finally get the point and start calling 911 as I run out, the mad man in hot pursuit. Finally, I run back to the house where we were staying (which oddly enough, looks a lot like the inside of my apato). My father and mother are there. My father sees me and falls to his knees in surprise and ?remorse? I say to him that I'll be alright if we can just stop the bleeding. He continues to sob into his hands and my mother just stands behind my father staring in disbelief. I wanted to scream, "well, isn't anyone going to help me!?" But all I did was get down on my knees and then fall forward on my face. I remember that it felt good to lay down and to rest.

Strange, eh? If you read all of that, you deserve a cookie. *hands everyone a cookie after quizzing them on dream details* Heehee! Better go get ready for work.
