Happy Sunday, it is my Monday...

Tonight at midnight, I will start my 5-day work week with an 8 hour shift. I will work every night this week from midnight until 8am. I am kind of happy about this, but kind of iffy too. I mean, I've always kind of been a night person up until a couple years ago when I started getting on a more "normal" sleeping schedule. The thing that bothers me is that next week they will probably change my schedule back to days. I know that I was told about the "reckless" hours I would be working during the interview...and this is actually a lot calmer than I thought it would be, but...I don't know. I guess I am admitting that I am longing for something with a definite, set schedule, yet has room for me to go to school in the fall. <----(knows that that is contradictory and a lot to ask for)

Anyway--I'm leaving that topic behind, because come to think of it--I'm really grateful that I have employment at all, and especially at such a good hourly pay. *deep bow* Arrigato gozaimasu! <---(to whatever gods there may be)

If you don't know about the kitten story, I suggest you read Nailz's latest blog. I feel like we did the right thing to give it to the no-kill shelter where they will fix what is wrong with it and it will be taken care of. I have a feeling that it might have been abused, accidentally or purposely I don't know and don't care--people should NEVER abuse an animal.

Let's see...what else. Nailz and I went to the club last night. It was cool. It's not your normal club though. They play 80s industrial, techo, some harder punk and rock, and other dark and brooding, yet dancy songs. It is what I would call a club for "deviants", both sexual and societal. Although I don't necessarily consider myself a deviant, I do feel pretty comfortable around people who may be considered to be so. They are a hell of a lot more interesting when it comes to clubbing than...well, non-deviants. I'm not into the meat-market, hip-hop playing clubs that are omni-present in the US. Those kinds of clubs disgust me. I have my decency, and going into one of those clubs degrades it if you ask me. Anyway, I got a little off-topic there....We had a good time and met a really nice guy named Derek. No, he doesn't want to get into our pants, he's just looking for friends to hang out with when he's at the club.

*feels clueless, yet chatty* Well, I better stop while I'm not so far-behind. I think if I continued, I would just ramble on and on. I need to get in line to do laundry in our laundry room. *sighs* Hope everyone had a good weekend, and here's to Monday!

Addendum 1 (added 6:44pm)
I found this link, and it made me cry. I definitely recommend it for a good pick me up.
