beautiful, beautiful northern girl

Nailz and I went to BestBuy today to look at electronics. I love that place--if I were a guy, I'd probably have a woody looking at all that stuff. (side note: I apologize in advance for how crass I may be today, but the customer service at BestBuy always makes me want to yell at them, "put away the pocket-pussy and maybe you wouldn't be such an asshole to the customers!") We dabbled in most of the different sections--a little in the gaming aisles discussing which games might be good, why the X-Box controller is (almost) complete crap, and what is so appealing about sports games (nothing was the conclusion). We checked out sound systems--the purpose of the visit. I purchased a $60 set of speakers. It includes two smaller speakers and a sub-woofer. It is incredible for sound! Holy crap! We are going to have to be careful so we don't piss off our neighbors. Then we meandered into the laptops where we proceeded to screw around with almost everyone. After that we hit the LCD monitors. I am hoping to get a ViewSonic 19" (forget the model number) for $499. I don't know when, but hopefully by the end of the year. I hate to say it, but both Nailz and I's monitors are going to crap. After the LCDs (which we exclaimed the sharpness of made our eyes bleed), we checked out scanners. We want one because we are probably going to purchase a domain with web-hosting and put up some humorous projects we have been working on. We spotted a scanner/printer for $199 that is really nice. Maybe that'll be the next purchase, along with the web-space (which is a little over $200 for a year). I love BestBuy--well, except for the previously mentioned bad customer service. *drools over thoughts of electronics*

Anywho--so that was my day so far. I had an ok weekend, though I worked on Saturday. Sunday and Monday are really my days off. And then I go back to work at midnight tomorrow night.

Oh, and before I go--here is a pic of my kitty. Isn't he the cutest in his Halloween get-up?
