it's like trying to drink whiskey from a bottle of wine

The song quote challenge continues. I would appreciate some participation in the comments section.

I think the end times are near. Let's look at the facts. Several hurricanes in Florida in a short time span. Mt. St. Helens is going to go kablooey again. There were the usual California mudslides, flooding and generally an increase in natural disasters. End times are near baby. I guess I don't mind. But I wish I knew for sure--because then I'd quit my job and live for the moment. *does rawk star leap*

And here are some quotes that I find to hold truth and are interesting :

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in a final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed." --Former U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower

Now that is something that would kill George W. Bush to even think about. Compassion is something that he does not have, understand and cannot even pronounce.

"It is so small and so fragile, such a precious little spot in the universe...you realize that everything that means anything to you--all of history and art and death and birth and love, tears and joys, all of it--is on that little blue and white spot out there, which you can cover with your thumb." --astronaut Russell Schweickart
