in fact, i don't mean any of this, still my confession draws you near
So I had a good holiday weekend. I got to see some people that I haven't seen in a couple years. It is hard, however, to see certain people and know that the next time you will see them is some Christmas years in the future.
I got quite a few things for Christmas that I was surpised by and grateful for. I got a small, 2-serving crockpot from my parents, a small fuzzy scarf my mother crocheted, and lots of books (of course, my mother is a librarian). I got some really interesting titles. Of course--I can't remember them off-hand. As I read them, I promise to post links to them. I got a kick-ass
t-shirt from Nailz. She lurvs me. My sister got me the quintessential Wallflowers CD that always seems to elude my conscious thought whenever I am in Cheapo Discs. I am very grateful for some new (but old) tunes. Otherwise, I got a bit of cash. It is all going to my previously mentioned New Year's resolution of making the apato look less like a dorm room and more like a home.
Oh, today Nailz learned (and then informed me) that the lady who died across the hall from us this summer, had actually committed suicide. I am slightly chilled by the thought that while I was home one day, less than 50 feet away from me, someone was taking their life. How can something like that happen without some sort of palpable energy brushing everyone's shoulders? *shivers*
Other than that, I guess my life is still boring. As a closing thought, I'd like to present more evidence that
the end days are near. *raises eyebrow*
