i don't love him...winter just wasn't my season
So last week I think I posted something about completely ruining a relationship with a guy. Well, I'm pretty sure it's over for real this time. Haven't heard anything from him in almost a week. Yeah, I know--a week isn't that long...but for me and him it is. I remember a while ago, I wasn't speaking to him for what seemed like ages and it turned out to be 3 days. *laughs at own stupidity* I am kind of relieved. Is that bad? It's hard to explain, but I feel a lot better. I feel more emotionally stable, and a bit more self-assured. And the weirdest part is, it wasn't really his fault. It was just how the relationship dynamics were working (or NOT working, as in this case). I was being a "distancer" and he was perfectly ok with that. *laughs* It's like I just kept running, expecting him to chase me and catch up, when he didn't even get up out of his chair. *gets mental image of herself frantically running away (giggling the whole way, of course), only to look back and find no one there* I hate to concentrate a whole blog entry on a silly relationship, but I did take a social work class titled, "Relationships, Intimacy and Sexuality". I learned a lot about all sorts of relationships and different theories of relating and relationship dynamics. Me being a "distancer" is the perfect description for this particular relationship. Normally, I am really the "chaser". Oh well. Oh bla di, oh bla da.
Oh, and I promise to catch up on my blog reading this weekend, as I don't work and don't really have any urgent plans. Tralalaaaa! Thank you to Anne, Biscuit, Nailz, Greg and any one else who throws in comments - you guys' comments really make my day! *grin*
