you're the boy with all the leather hipsAh. So what a weekend. It was a three day weekend for me, so that was nice. Not much to report. As usual, I've forgotten most of what Nailz and I did this weekend. I know we went out "shopping" yesterday. I bought a cool Japanese language book that teaches the language through manga. It was only $25 which I thought was a pretty good deal. I also got more volumes of MARS, which I've already plowed through. I think I'm going to hold off on buying more until I am done with my homework, which is all the final stuff is due on the 5th. Nailz and I started gearing up for the HP 6 release by purchasing robes (on-sale from $89.95 to $79.79) from Alivans (see
Nailz's blog for link) and house patches off of e-Bay. The party is coming up in a couple weeks. *wets self* That one was for you, Nailz. We watched quite a bit of anime too (FMA, Naruto). Saturday was our lazy day, and today we went to the laundromat and did some laundry (Nailz 2, Clare 4).
It keeps getting hotter and hotter here. Throughout the day the temp has steadily risen. Right now, even as the sun sets, it is getting more humid and the temp is still in the 80s with a heat index of 91 degrees. Humidity is increasing (it's already at 72% versus 70% ten minutes ago). The weather forecast is calling for a thunderstorm tomorrow night, but I can't help hoping that it will come sooner so it can fool the fuck off for a bit.
In other news, those handy-dandy car sunshades that fold up into the circles should have a warning on them. It should read something like this: "DO NOT open this sunshade while in your vehicle. Doing so may result in decapitation and/or death." No shit, I almost lost my head (not just an eye mind you--my whole damn head), and I was in my apartment--I couldn't imagine the damage while sitting in a vehicle. *shudders at gruesome mental images* And then the directions on how to get them back into that little damn circle are confusing as fuck. "Place left thumb here (there's one for the right, too) and fold until almost in half, then twist wrists towards each other." How the hell do you twist your wrists towards each other?! Sounds like you've gotta be a contortionist or something (which despite what my Yahoo! profile says, I am not a contortionist).
Anywho--I guess that's about it for now. I wish I had more to report, but I just don't. I tried to keep it nice and laid back this weekend (which it was), so that usually results in low blogging material production. ;-)
Here's a link that may creep you out. Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible for any mental stress caused by reading about this
delusional religion.
On a non-related note, here's a
Penny Arcade strip I meant to link a long time ago. Why does this remind me of Nailz? *grin*
