The cops are outside of our apartment building--again. We don't need to watch COPS on TV--we just look out our window when we see the familiar red and blue flashing lights. Tonight it's a drug bust. A man and his wife/girlfriend and a baby. They have the woman and man separated (of course). It is odd watching a moment that will change these strangers' lives forever. What could the woman be thinking? Will they put us in jail? How are we going to pay rent? Will they take my baby away? After I think of that, I hear the tough voice of law enforcement saying that they shouldn't've taken risks they couldn't afford. Think before you act and all that. But it is interesting nonetheless.

Edit: And then the moment is gone. The lights and cars go away, the street is left dark in contrast. The searched car just sitting and waiting to be towed. Our street is dark again.
