wonder if he'll ever know he's in the best-selling show

So tonight has just been funfunfun. I am/was supposed to be researching for Saturday's class. For the umpteenth day in a row, I have found myself distracted. Tonight's distraction wasn't entirely my own making however....

As anyone who owns a dog knows, dogs have a somewhat regular pee and poo schedule. When they have to go they let you know. Tonight Yuki gave me the signal (whiny and growly noises while looking me knowingly in the eye) and I said, "Ok, just a few more minutes...." Five minutes later he is getting more insistent (I can usually tell him to "wait a few minutes" for up to a half hour). "Ok, Yuki, just let me go to the bathroom." So I go, and as is the usual custom, Yuki follows me in. This is where things start to go awry. So I'm sitting there doing my own bathroom thing, and Yuki is whining to hurry me up a bit. He'd gotten done with his usual tear-around-the-apato-really-fast-and-growling bit (customary before any outing), and was now really ready to go outside. I stand up to flush (as you do) and in his excitement to see that I have finished, he jumps up on the toilet seat (obviously not connecting in his brain that the cover was not down) and in go his hindquarters into the unflushed bowl.

Luckily, my reaction was quick enough to stop him from jumping out and running around and shaking off in the living room. I caught him by his tummy as he was jumping and put him in the bathtub, where he stayed while I called his "Mom" at work to ask her advice about whether to give him a bath or let him go out first. In the end, we got all three things dog-associated accomplished: pooed, peed and bathed. Of course, I had to take a shower as well, because then I smelled like wet dog and urine (as I had gotten wet in the process of catching him while he was jumping out of the toilet). *sigh*

Though not directly related to what happened tonight, this is definitely not unfamiliar....

Also, I had meant to post this one before Naruto was licensed. Oh well....it still is true.
