link bloggingHey ho everyone! So I've decided not to do the usual song lyric title when it comes to posts that are strictly to put out some interesting links. I don't have much to say on the personal side, so without further ado...
I find
Is This You? an interesting site. Especially something like
this - obviously it belongs the person who threw it away, so why would they claim it??
Here again - it is torn up, so it is obvious that it was not accidentally lost. Though there are some things that are kind of
arty, this is a site that is practically made for emotional voyeurists. It could be a goldmine for writers - seeing something either truly lost or connected with such strong emotions that the physical reminder of that pain or anger must be somehow destroyed or thrown into the nothingness of common litter. Think of all the stories behind these items....It is fascinating - and I admit to a certain personal allure, but I also feel like it is in violation of some people's privacy...What do you guys think?
This is a
cool guy. Some of you may have seen one of his
Guns, Germs and Steel shows on PBS. I really want to check out at
least a
couple of his books and articles at the library. I'm kind of a biology nerd deep down - it WAS my first choice of major at college (until my massive failure in Chemisty knocked me out of the program) and I remain actively interested in the general sciences as well as human history.
I'm sure this article has been linked to many times. For those of you who are HP fans and especially those who love the Malfoys, this is probably old hat, but I wanted to link to it anyway.
Neener."eBay prohibits items depicting bestiality, rape sex, incest, or sex with graphic violence or degradation."
Well, I should hope so. Click the link and then click on the "Show" links to see exactly what eBay considers "mature". I found this once when I was selling a manga series that dealt a lot with sex - I didn't want to violate any eBay policies. I found this page very interesting. *is a complete nerd*
Is attitude everything?
This article says so. I'm glad that for the most part (except when it comes to love relationships) my attitude toward life in general seems to lean towards sunny.
OOoooh! I want his
job! Ok, so not really - I suck at gaming.
And to end the linkblogging for today - here is a funny!
Who will wrestle Gus?? This was the Penny Arcade on my birthday last year - ironic, ne? (For those of you who know my father...)
