she means we're bouncing into graceland

So today was a good day. Mostly anyway, although nothing sticks out as bad. I cleaned out "the nook" that we have in our apato while Nailz thoroughly cleaned the bathroom. We went to B&N and sold some our used manga. Seems used manga will get you about $2 of store credit, or (if not purchasing in the store that day) roughly $1.75 each in cash. Fun fun. Nothing like clearing space and getting two new things for "free".

We went to V for Vendetta. All I can say is WOW. I was so incensed by it that my stomach became upset. I'm with V all the way - completely. Anyway - great movie and very ... timely. Yes, it is a movie that fits snuggly in one of the major roles of science fiction, which is to show us the possible dangers of current paths. I would go on into a full-fledged essay on the topic, but really who would read it?

I have some new *shock-u* links to post. These are current, not just new to me. I will do a post of back-logged links again sometime this month, but for now, I give you what has amused me today. Heh.

Click on the commercial that is featured in the Wednesday, April 29th post - para para dancing and cowboys in the city? Ore???

Also ganked from the above blog was this. Nobody blows the bung. Nobody. I am sick, so this is very funny.

I'm beginning to fall in love with TBS - even though I don't watch TV. My favorite is "Secret Lovers". I'm sure this is no surprise and nothing new to you who do watch TV, but I sure as hell found it to be very funny and surprisingly refreshing. Go play around in their humor lab afterwards and take the survey. The future of funny depends on it!

One last thing I found a couple days ago. Too bad the video didn't work for me for some reason. Sounds hilarious though... Make sure to read the short article as, not only is it humorous, it is enlightening as to why the lawsuit - it's not why you would think. Also, someone made a comment about why Americans would want a low-carb energy drink in the first place: "The dirty secret of sports drinks is that the majority of Americans don't use them to replenish fluids lost in high exertion exercise. They drink them sitting in front of the TV watching Sports Center. THAT is why a low cal option is a good idea. -TJA" It's sooo true!

So that's it. I feel like I've been either productive or highly amused for most of the day, so I am happy.
