This also seems the appropriate blog title to tell about my "blind" date. Basically, we met at one of those chain bar/restaurants. Adam was smaller than even I had imagined. Stef had warned me that he was short and little. I don't mind small men - in fact, I usually like them because I feel like I'm on even ground. I didn't make much eye contact. He was a decent enough looking guy - that means he didn't make my eyes bleed or anything, but I wasn't instantly smitten with his looks or charm. We ate - I had a tall cider and the spinach artichoke dip, then we went back to Stef's place where I proceeded to drink 2 more ciders. I was slightly buzzed throughout the movie that we watched. Before I knew it we had said goodnight and I was in my car driving home. Nothing special, really.
Sunday, April 16th @ 9:57pmSo I had a second date with Adam last night. We went to dinner at an Asian restaurant around the corner from where I live. He is a picky eater. That kind of annoyed me, but then we went to a friend's birthday shindig downtown. I offered him the out by saying that I understood it might be kind of weird meeting most of my friends on the 2nd date, but he came with anyway. He does not blend well with the circle of friends. He doesn't make any waves, but he doesn't really fit in either. Anyway - the point is that I was beginning to feel like he was dead weight by the end of the night. We left before everyone else because he wanted to go. I was relieved when he was gone. I will definitely not be going for a third date. I know right now that a third date would be a total waste of time. Meh. I'm so relieved - I don't really want to date anyone right now - way too much hassle. *wipes brow*
In other news, Nailz and I made a big Easter dinner together. Our fridge is now full of leftovers: pineapple glazed ham, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes and rabbit food (orange jello with crushed pineapple and shredded carrots - yummy...). The cops also made two visits to the apartment complexes we live in -
within the SAME two-hour timeframe. The second time they were here, I yelled out the window for them to have a happy Easter. The cute one kind of laughed and yelled his thanks. He's so hot.....*drools*
I think that's about it. I'm going to bed early tonight - laku noc!
