Stealth Blogging

0944 hrs

Today feels like I'm playing hooky while actually at work. Out of the 20 or so employees that are employed here, only 5 of us are actually here. Because I work on the corporate side of things, we still have to have staff here just in case there is a retail location actually open today (doubtful). The result of this is a very easy day. It will probably remain slow, so I wouldn't be surprised if the boss let us go home early. The only service requests we have received are from Friday afternoon. There have been no new requests at all today. Of course, this makes the time go by ultra slow and I am having a hard time just staying awake.

I almost called in sick today. I had a dream last night that my throat was really sore and when I woke up this morning, I found out it wasn't a dream. My throat is sore and my left ear is achey. I wonder if this has anything to due with me going for a run in 12 degree weather? Nah! I doubt it, but just in case I will have to dress warmer when I go for a jog outside tomorrow. I also was tempted to call in sick when I saw the snow outside. Not only was I not in the mood to clean off my car, but the minutes that get added on to the commute to work annoy me. This morning the roads were really slippery. I slid through a couple of stop signs and had trouble getting going again at slick intersections. Good thing most of the city took the holiday and slept in, otherwise, traffic would have really stunk. I would've also liked to go sledding today - but alas - no such luck.

Now I'm waiting for the Chinese delivery guy. Yay for delivery!

1328 hrs

What a coincidence. As I was writing that, the delivery guy came. Now that I am full, I am feeling all sleepy. Wish I could just put my head down on the desk and take a nice nap. I am totally ready for today to be over and to go home and take a nap. Think that tonight I should probably just go home, get into bed and stay there until I have to get up for work tomorrow. If I am getting sick, best thing is to get lots of sleep.
