worlds collide and cause a stormI have heard that the midwest got hit with a snowstorm Saturday night. We got hit by a storm of sorts as well. Today it was like a sand blizzard and the "welcome" mat outside of my door was completely blanketed with fine sand. I spent the majority of the day indoors and now we have on-and-off rain with thunder and lightning. It is for sure a day to be wondered at. I just hope the rain is off by the time I ride my bike home for the day.
Not much else to report here. Since the sand was a-blowin' today, I spent the majority of the day inside and studied Japanese using my hiragana workbook. Once I get to chapter 3 of the kana workbook, I will be able to finally start on the actual language book. Though learning kana is a bit difficult, I hope the effort will be well worth it when we are in Japan and can actually read signs and what-not. Today, I also finished up reading a wonderful book titled,
Septimus Heap: Magyk. I read the book in little under a week, which is good for me as I am a s...l...o...w reader (though my comprehension is very high).
Magyk had me giggling out loud many times and is a great book. I look forward to reading the next in the series.
Didn't get as much cleaning done as I usually do on Sundays because I was feeling lazy and absorbed in books. Ah, well, that is ok - day in bed with book = good!
