this my excavation and today is kumranThe great letter scanning project has begun. I kind of had a feeling when thinking about it as an option for being able to store the letters digitally and therefore reducing/eliminating the amount of closet space the letters take up that it would be a time-consuming process. I was totally right, but I couldn't have guessed it would take
this long! I have about 3 shoeboxes full of letters (not completely packed tight, but relatively full...). I have been scanning almost continuously since 11am and I have barely made a dent in the first shoebox!! I'm pretty fast with the scanning, and I have been organizing the folders as I go to save time later on. This way I won't have to sort them after they are all scanned in. Still - it is going to take me
forever to get these all scanned and saved. Guh...
I'm also trying to find entertainment on the internet to help me feel like I'm getting more done than I really am. XD Sometimes, I feel like if I'm not multi-tasking, I'm not getting enough done. Well, so be it.
In other news, I ate a mini-eggsalad sandwich for lunch. I am proud of myself for eating before the evening rolls around! *celebrates* I feel like I'm starting to physically waste away (but not energy-wise, strangely enough), so I weighed myself this morning and it seems that my non-eating habits are taking their toll. I've lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Ya~be! (This is bad!) I think a big part of readjusting is that my body is not only still on a different sleeping schedule, but an eating schedule as well, so I'm not hungry at the normal times. I think I will start setting the alarm on my phone to let me know that it is time to eat, because part of the problem is that I don't have any concept of time. I just sit myself down to do something on my to-do list and before I know it, Nailz is home and making supper and I haven't eaten anything all day!
Well, over the course of blogging while the scanner is working, I have started to see a tiny bit of progress. Hopefully, I can at least get close to finishing half of the first box today. *hopes*
Oh - and I am working on getting a flicker page set up or something so that if any one is interested in keeping up with my photography endeavors, you can look at them. :) No guaranteeing when this will actually happen though. XD
