now i wonder what my life is going to mean if it's gone*

0801 hrs:

Good morning! Well, it'll be afternoon by the time people get to read this, eh?

I'm having a strange morning. You know how people tend to settle into certain patterns of doing things? I am no exception. In fact, I think I enjoy the pattern (to an extent most people don't ever consciously think about) - the rhythm - of my morning routine. I had it all backwards this morning, but that's not what has thrown me off. It's thrown me off that it was so light outside on the drive to work. It being light outside also led to me being able to see some lady throw up while she was crossing the street. Gross! I'm sure there isn't anyone out there who enjoys seeing people hurl, but I have a very strong reaction against it. I'm not quite sure what it is with me and my curse of seeing people puke in public. I once saw an old, drunk (and probably homeless) man throw up outside of gas station I was driving past. Why did my eyes have to look at him? Ugh. I'm just glad I didn't have to hear it, because that's worse than the visual for me.

Anywho, sorry for the gross stuff, but I needed to share the pain. That one moment threw off the whole next hour. It probably threw off that lady's whole day though.

1034 hrs:

Last night I dyed my hair in preparation for the Chicago trip. I had about 2 1/2 inches of darker roots showing and I wanted to get rid of them. I usually dye my hair a nice, warm, dark auburn. Last night I went for a medium, warm brown instead. Though I was born a red head and still have reddish tints to my hair, I still like my hair color to be warmer than it naturally is. The brown looks really nice - mainly because it didn't really turn out a real brown. As it happened the last time I tried brown, my hair turned out a rich red-brown. I'm happy though because it looks natural and the roots are gone - yay!

I have a busy evening after work is over. I am going to stop at Walgreen's on the way home from work to get a passport photo taken (another reason why I wanted to dye my hair last night). A photo is necessary for the interview voucher that will allow me into the interview to begin with. I wore something a bit nicer to work than usual and actually did something decent with my hair. Didn't have time to put on make up this morning, so I brought my bag to work so I can put it on in the late afternoon. I never wear make up, so I'm sure my cow-orkers will be curious about the occasion. I'll be mysterious and let them believe that I'm meeting with someone of significance after work. Which is sort of true anyway, because after the stop at Walgreen's, I have a 1 hour massage appointment.

Later in the evening, I am supposed to go lap swimming with Cathy. Not sure I want to spoil my massage that way, but we don't really swim all that much anyway or swim very hard for that matter either, since we use the kickboard a lot and chat as we do the laps. >__<

1529 hrs:

I'm feeling not so great at the moment. I need to go home and get some good sleep tonight. I feel like I'm getting too worn down and am at risk for getting seriously sick if I don't make myself rest some. I've cancelled my massage appointment and will be calling Cathy to cancel on lap swimming as well.

In other news, as of tomorrow, I will discontinue blogging daily. As everyone knows, the economy is getting pretty bad and due to some unexpected news here at work, I will be making sure to dedicate all of my working hours and time to helping out my department in any way I can (even if it's manual labor). No time to chit chat anymore.

It's been a lovely ride, hasn't it?
