your mind is lined with layers of lead*

0905 hrs:
This morning has been pretty good so far. Yesterday, while trying to find a CD to listen to in the car, I came across a burned CD (made probably about 3 or 4 years ago) that was marked as "More Rock". Could I have been more vague? Probably not - but when it comes to music, sometimes I like surprises. It's even better when it's a surprise due to my poor memory. XD Turns out I should have labeled it "Really Rockin' Rock! Caution: Listening to at work is not advised." I've been rockin' out like I haven't for quite a while. In case you're curious what is on the CD, see below:

Song list:
Nickelback - Because of You (I know - I don't much like Nickelback either, but this song just rocks out too much to not like...)
Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit
Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself
Stroke 9 - Little Black Backpack
The White Stripes - Hotel Yorba
Modest Mouse - Float On
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Green Day - American Idiot
Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It
Dashboard Confessional - As Lovers Go

Now, I'm not a big fan of Linkin Park (actually, I think this is one of 2 songs of theirs where I didn't want to kill the radio), but I do like the song above. I'll admit to being kind of a music snob here and there, but I won't deny a top 40 band kudos if one or two of their songs really rock.

Um...that took me almost all morning to compile as I would get so caught up in data entry and rocking out that I would forget to write down the song artist and title. *sweatdrop*

1355 hrs:
Ai ya ya ya...*tries not to nod off* I am pretty spacey today. I am so very sleepy. I have finally caught up with my cow-orkers work, so now it feels weird to not be engaged in a flurry of activity all day with barely any time for thought.

You know that Flagpole Sitta song by ... *thinks hard* Harvey something... Anyway - you know that song? The line "if you're bored then you're boring" always pops into my mind when I am about to say that I'm bored. And anyway, I think that I'm just so sleepy that I can't think right.

1547 hrs:
Why even bother with this post today? That is what I am asking myself. Maybe because it just doesn't feel right unless I yell into the void...

PLAYLIST:
More Rock - mix CD (to include *Stroke 9 - Little Black Backpack)
Pimsleurs Japanese lessons 1-3
Portishead - Dummy
