the stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun*
So it has been quite a long time since I truly updated this blog. Sadly, it is late on a Sunday night and I am only spending a few more minutes online before going to bed. I have an unpleasant schedule tomorrow. I have to be at the school I'm teaching at by 9am to teach 2nd period, but then I don't have anything during 3rd period. Then a class 4th period, lunch with the students and then yet another period where I don't have any classes before I teach 6th period. After that, I have to rush back to the office and immediately go into a meeting for Tuesday's classes that will probably last past leaving time. I will have to cancel my Japanese lesson, which means that it will have been almost 2 months since my last lesson. I signed up to take a Japanese language proficiency test (the JLPT) in December, so I really need to get cracking on studying for that so I can pass. *frownies*
Overall, the next 5 weeks look to be rough. Not only do I have some pretty jam-packed weeks of classes, but every weekend until the end of September is full of traveling all over the island. The last weekend being the party that I have to do all of the planning for. Food for 50 people, renting BBQs, tents, making sure people can get to the campsite, coming up with activities to keep people engaged, etc. Uf da!
I guess when it is all said and done, I'll happily welcome October 1st as it will mean that I finally, finally get to have some time at home.
Leading up to now, my parents came and visited me for 2 weeks during the summer holidays and I also "presented" at the orientation for all of the new people coming in. So I've pretty much been traveling since July 30th. Very ready for a long break from traveling. Though I never thought I would say that. XD
So that's my life in a nutshell right now. Unfortunately, I probably won't be updating this blog very frequently (ha! Like I ever have!), if at all, until October or so. Should really get in the habit of doing a weekly post or something as I always like to look back and read blogs to see what I was up to in the past. Sometimes I even find it mildly entertaining!
Having said all that, I hope everyone is enjoying the tail end of their summers! Feel free to drop me a comment or email and let me know what you've been up to! Cheers!
