it's just a rideAh...so Christmas is just around the corner. It is hard to get in the spirit this year. I have been dutifully listening to my classic Christmas CDs: Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. Even those classic songs aren't helping much. In recent years it seems that my main problem is that I don't get in to the Christmas spirit until
after the day has passed - and then I want to listen to Christmas music and go around all dewy-eyed and gay.
I still have to get a gift for my secret santa person, but other than that I have been done with my Christmas shopping since before Thanksgiving and all the gifts have been dispatched to their respective recipients. I have been receiving quite a few gifts in the mail in the past week and some of them from people I didn't expect anything from.
It's a bit nerdy, but I can't wait to write thank you notes! Maybe that is what gets me into the Christmas spirit, being thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life who think so well of me as to give me a heartfelt gift!
In other news, I am sick (again). I've been feeling like crap the last few days and am hopefully on the mend.
Think that is it. Hope all are enjoying the holiday season!
