we turn this better thing to the best*

0932 hrs:
I was sick of idiots before I even arrived at work this morning. Actually, I almost called in a sick day today. Murphy (my cat) was being so lovey this morning, I could have easily laid back in bed and cuddled all morning with him. I'm not sick, but I am tired. I feel exhausted in almost every aspect of my persons. Just ... blah.

Just now, I felt a particularly strong pain twinge in my left side. This made me realize that my abdomen is in a constant state of discomfort - whether it is simply feeling bloated or actual outright pain, I can't remember the last time that my abdomen was free from pain or discomfort. I'd say it has been at least since the summer. Hm.

Last night on the drive home from Yoga and the nutrition learning seminar, a deer hit my car. Some people who are not familiar with Minnesota (or the Midwest for that matter) would be really surprised that there are deer in the city. Well, the Twin Cities (and of course, the surrounding suburbs) have a lot of wooded areas and parks where the deer love to live. So anyway - a deer hit the front, driver's side of my car and then skidded and rolled over my windshield and the hood of my car and then bounded off into the woods. I was a bit freaked out - it had been so noisy and I was amazed that the only damage my car suffered was a dent about 9 inches in diameter over the wheel well where the deer initially hit/jumped. I'm ok too (obviously). I just can't stop thinking of how lucky I am that that is all that happened. In terms of running into deer, this may be the best outcome I've ever heard of.

This morning I narrowly avoided an accident, too. The roads were a bit slick because of the snow we got last night, but that wasn't the issue. The issue was someone who was in the left turn lane and then suddenly decided they didn't want to turn left, so they swerved out in front of me without signaling. I had to swerve and brake. I also honked quite a bit and shouted some choice expletives.

1601 hrs:
Gee. Look at the time!

There is something that I keep putting off posting because I run out of time during the work day. (Huh - who would've known?!) It has to do with the fantabulous looking Mr. M and strategies I've come up with to cope (which sometimes work). I hope I remember it later.

Better go. Everyone is leaving and I'm feeling like I could take a nap rather than drive home right now. Blech.
