1130 hrs:Allowing myself a blog post created at work today. It has been a really stressful today at work. Things have been happening that we only wish were an April Fool's joke. Upsetting things - BUT, I still have a job (as far as I know anyway).
It seems that the last two days have been nothing but super-stressful.
I woke up late this morning. First, I woke up at 6:14am thinking that it was really 7:14am and had hit the snooze too many times, so that was a near-heart attack. Then, because I thought I was late, I must have shut off my alarm entirely, so when I went back to sleep (because I had 3 snoozes left, dammit), there was no alarm to wake me up. I woke up at 7:05am and the first word out of my mouth was "shit". (Well, that's expected, isn't it?) Days starting with the word "shit" are usually not the best. And so the day has been pretty mean. In the end I was only 1/2 hour late for work, but I stayed a 1/2 hour late last night, so maybe my boss will let me slide on this one. I'll have to talk to her, but really - she might not be my boss any more. How f*cked up is that?
I just keep telling myself to calm down and take it easy, but...well...I'm just too tired from all of this recent work stress that I just don't have the energy to think rationally about all this stuff anymore. All of this "right-sizing" and re-organizing is total bullshit. Where do employers get off with jerking their employees around all the time. Who wants to work for a place like that?
My stress level is not helped any by the fact that soon I will be finding out the results of the JET interview. Pretty sure I probably won't hear anything until next week, but just the fact that it is now officially April and the website says the results will be announced in "early April" makes my stomach twist and turn. Also, I have drill this weekend. You know what's on the training schedule? NADA. Of course, they should just write in "thumb up ass time" because that's what we'll end up doing.
Right now, I wish I could take a vacation day from my life.
1555 hrs:HA. HA. *drips with sarcasm* We've been punk'd. Jerks. Happy April Fools Day!! All the work drama for the first 6 hours of my work day was an April Fools joke. *despite being embarrassed about reaction, is still very relieved to still have a job*
